A 'thin sandwich course' has 3 to 6 months training in each of the four years. This system allows the student to get commercial training in different firms instead of exposure to a single firm. This system works in different ways. For example: |

A student gets an annual salary whether he/ she is studying or working with the firm. |
| |
Students get an LEA grant for the period he/she works with the firm, i.e., 3 to 4 months that is supplemented by the employer. |
