The biggest overseas education plan funded by Canberra is expected to be one of Australia's most tangible contributions to the East Asian Community.
The scholarship scheme would benefit students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan, The Australian reported. The scheme is to be undertaken under the 'Federal Government Scholarship Programme'.
SRMIST ties up with Korean university
In the backdrop of increased Foreign Direct Investment from Korea in to India, two leading technical universities from both the countries have entered into an academic collaboration.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), a Chennai-based deemed university, and Youngsan University, South Korea, for exchange of faculty and students, joint research, dual degree programmes and special training.
Academic collaboration between these two universities will be more focussed on information technology, hotel management and tourism, and business management. |
